Low-cost grocer Aldi now offers grocery delivery from metro Detroit locations through app-based service Instacart starting Monday.
The bulk of large-scale grocery chains are taking part in the trend, sometimes offering delivery through service providers such as Instacart or Shipt: the Kroger Co. of Michigan, Meijer Inc., Whole Foods Market and Target Corp.
In metro Detroit, Aldi shoppers can get groceries sent to their door anywhere Instacart delivers, Ryan Fritsch, Webberville division vice president for Aldi, said in an emailed statement.
