Social media and commercial real estate aren’t typically paired together but, currently social media holds a huge opportunity to reach untapped markets, clients and gain a one up on competition. How is social media a benefit to not only commercial real estate and its brokers but to any kind of company?

For example, commercial real estate brokers can easily share listings, closed deals, or news about markets they sell in. This not only promotes your company, but it can generate leads, add relevancy to your social media and is a great way to gain exposure without having to cut in a budget.

Extra content can also come from the happenings within the company, share photos of company events, people’s birthdays or fun corporate news. This adds a personal feel to the social accounts and is a good break from all the “business” type information. Using social media for business is also a great tool to reach potential future employees. If potential employees are doing research prior to getting hired, it shows a behind the scenes of part of the work environment they could be entering. It shows you have done research, you also get to know a little extra about them and you have taken the time to find them, so they know you are serious. Also, taking the time to look at their profile, you may be able to learn something about that them that you could use in your message to make it even more personable and further create a genuine message. It’s a great tool to use to grow business, make more connections and generate leads.
