Mark specializes in all aspects of retail leasing, handling both landlord and tenant representation. His deep understanding of the Metro-Detroit market, coupled with his knowledge of retail co-tenancy, allows him to strategically assist and successfully advise clients in site selection. His in-depth experience with lease negotiations adds significant value to both tenant and landlord clients. Mark handles landlord work for all types of retail assets, including neighborhood centers, new construction developments, re-developments, and power centers.
His investment sale work includes acquisitions and dispositions spanning from multi-tenant stabilized retail centers to high vacancy, distressed, value add centers – as well as single tenant net leased assets. Mark specializes in retail auction sales, particularly for distressed/value add product nationwide.
Having graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Mark spent time working at KPMG in their Advisory practice in Detroit. He was able to gain experience working on both public and private clients within a range of industries, including commercial real estate development and management. Prior to joining KPMG, Mark has been involved with managing a family-owned retail portfolio – assisting in purchasing, selling, leasing, and management. Further, Mark spent over 8 years in the lighting and electrical supply industry working in commercial lighting sales. He worked alongside real estate developers, construction firms, and contractors to procure material for new construction and renovation real estate projects.
