Oakland County has been named one the most digitally advanced counties in the country.

According to the 2017 Digital Counties Survey, conducted by the Center for Digital Government and the National Association of Counties, the county is one of the digital leaders in maximizing services and improving transparency through the use of technology.

The county ranked second, among counties with populations over 1 million, behind King County in Washington.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

• The county implemented G2G Cloud Solutions (G2Gcloud.com) to improve government services by sharing technology with other government agencies at little or no cost.

“Everything we do is about discovering more efficient ways to deliver government services through the use of technology while collaborating with other governments,” said Phil Bertolini, deputy county executive/chief information officer. “G2G Cloud Solutions and G2G Marketplace are the result of our vision as a digital county.”
