Memorial Day weekend 2017: Where to go, what to do, how to get around

Our first holiday weekend of Summer is here, and it’s always a big weekend in Detroit. It can get crazy busy downtown because of Movement, but there’s plenty to do and see in the Motor City. Here’s our guide to getting the most out of the three days.

Movement

Movement starts at 12 p.m. Saturday and the music goes until late Monday night in Hart Plaza. A full schedule for the electronic music festival can be found here. Love techno but not crazy about festivals? There are parties all over town.

Explore the city

Whether you’re visiting for the first time or you just want to get outside, it should be a good weekend to see the Motor City.
