Wild Lights – Detroit Zoo
November 17-18, 23 -25, 30

The Detroit Zoo will light up the night again this holiday season with Wild Lights, a spectacular light display.  For 24 nights, more than five million LED lights will illuminate trees, buildings and 265 sculptures – more than 220 of which are animals – throughout the front half of the Zoo.  Experience the magic of the Detroit Zoo in winter as you take in the lights and the sights and enjoy holiday entertainment and special activities for guests of all ages.

Wayne County Lightfest
November 15 – December 31

Get in the car and take a drive through Hines Park and enjoy the 47 plus holiday light displays. This is considered the midwest’s largest and longest light show.

Santa Pub Crawl Royal Oak

It’s the phenomenon wildly popular in major cities around the globe, from London, Boston, New York and Chicago to San Francisco and beyond! Thousands of pub-crawlers join Santa Pub Crawl to kick off their holiday season!

Holiday Carriage Rides
November 18 – December 30

Take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage and enjoy beautiful views of the city adorned with festive, holiday lights and sights. $40 for private ride, $10 per person

Santa’s Magic Forest
November 25 – December 23

Downriver’s finest holiday display — is open weekends from Thanksgiving Weekend through Christmas in the Heritage Park Activity Building. Admission to the Magic Forest is $3 — free for children 3 and under.

Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village
November 30 – December 27

Mingle with merrymakers amid the smells of roasting chestnuts and warm bonfires: the sounds of carolers, fiddlers and sleigh bells and other yuletide activity during Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village. Main Street brims with holiday goods, food and warm beverages. Historical home tours open the doors to centuries of favorite family holiday traditions. From the finest tinseled detail to the fireworks-filled sky that marks each evening’s finale, make our Christmas story a cherished part of your own.

Meadow Brook’s Annual Holiday Walk
November 23 – December 23

The holidays shine a little brighter at the Great Estate. Continuing in its 47th year, Meadow Brook Hall’s Holiday Walk offers self-guided touring through the elegant rooms of The Hall decked in holiday splendor with over 50 dazzling trees on display including a 10-foot tall Poinsettia tree created by 150 live plants displayed in the Sun Porch!
