Friedman's Construction and Design Team Transform HQ Space for Businesses Across Metro Detroit

Posted on July 22, 2014

Farmington Hills, Michigan (July 22, 2014) – Friedman Integrated Real Estate Solutions, one of the nation’s leading providers of commercial real estate services, is an industry leader in providing construction and design services for major companies throughout Metro Detroit.

When companies in the automotive and healthcare industries need construction and design services to transform and elevate existing buildings into impressive corporate headquarters, they turn to Friedman. Across the Metro Detroit area, Friedman’s Construction and Design team has been busy redesigning and repositioning buildings for some of the area’s top corporate users.

Friedman has recently been awarded a comprehensive construction assignment for Molina Healthcare of Michigan. Molina Healthcare of Michigan, a subsidiary of California-based Molina Healthcare, Inc. is expanding their Midwest headquarters in Troy, Michigan. To accommodate their growing workforce, Molina purchased a 197,000 square foot Class A building located at 880 W. Long Lake Road in the Troy Corporate Center. Coincidentally, Friedman represented the seller in that transaction. Friedman’s team will be building out the existing space in addition to providing various upgrades and improvements. The work is expected to be completed in early September.

Earlier this year, Friedman’s team was hired to transform a 75,286 square foot office building located at 36600 Corporate Drive in Farmington Hills into the Engineering Research and Development headquarters for North American Lighting, Inc., the largest non-affiliated lighting supplier in North America. The project included a state-of-the-art lighting test lab, a 25,000 square foot auditorium, and research and development office space.

One of the best examples of Friedman’s recent success in this area is 750 Tower Drive, one of eight Class A office buildings that make up North Troy Corporate Park, a 1.2 million square foot development surrounding the I-75/Crooks Road corridor. Friedman’s team developed a comprehensive plan to reposition the once vacant and uninhabitable building. With significant renovations and improvements that included a Zen-like lobby complete with birch trees and a tranquil water feature,750 Tower Drive, encompassing 248,427 square feet, is now home to the U.S. headquarters of Magna International Inc., a leading global supplier of technologically-advanced automotive systems. Friedman’s Construction and Design team also added a state-of-the-art technical center to the building valued at $4.5 million.

“Our success is based on a meticulous approach to planning and attention to detail,” said Jim Parrinello, Vice President of Construction. “With a deep understanding of our client’s needs, we are able to deliver an innovative and cost-effective design plan that will completely transform an existing space and turn it into a corporate showcase.”

With many similar up and coming projects in the works, things don’t appear to be slowing down for the accomplished Construction and Design team anytime soon.
