Friedman negotiates sale of 86,000 square feet of medical space

Farmington Hills, Michigan (May 10, 2013) – Friedman Integrated Real Estate Solutions, one of the nation’s leading providers of commercial real estate services recently negotiated the sale of three medical office buildings totaling 85,822 square feet located at 27207, 27209, and 27211 Lahser Road in Southfield, Michigan. Vice President of Brokerage Services Bob Moon represented Lahser Medical Campus, LLC, the buyer in the transaction.

The medical office space was purchased via Auction.com, and will host a multi-discipline medical practice, which includes physical therapy, orthopedics, neurology, endocrinology, and dermatology. “We’re seeing a trend where different disciplines form groups to purchase or lease medical properties outside of hospitals,” said Moon. “With the new healthcare legislation, private practices are now forming large entities for greater purchasing power. I foresee this trend continuing on a steady incline.” The space was originally 51% occupied by DMC, but Lahser Medical Campus, LLC will bring the occupancy to around 80% serving as both landlord and tenant for the property. Lasher Medical Campus, LLC plans to make several improvements to the property by renovating the lobbies, adding a full-line pharmacy, an express café, and updating the landscaping.
