Challenge: Outdated, 44% occupied retail center with vacant anchor tenant resulting in co-tendency failures for remaining anchors and national retailers
Results: Now 96% occupied, co-tendency issues were solved, and Friedman increased the overall value of the shopping center.
Solutions: Friedman’s Management team painted the exterior, completed asphalt repairs, seal-coated and stripped the parking lot, and replaced sections of the room. Friedman’s Construction & Design team divided the former Walmart space into two suites, where Friedman’s Leasing team leased the spaces to Hobby Lobby and Cal Ranch. Friedman’s Leasing team also renewed and extended the leases of Marshall’s, Ross, Dollar Tree and other small shop tenants.
