Finsilver/Friedman Management Corporation announces their efforts toward a “greener” LeVeque Tower in Columbus, Ohio. In an effort to conserve energy, LeVeque Tower has decided to turn off the exterior building lights every night at midnight. “According to the Energy Information Administration, commercial buildings use about 18% of the total U.S. demand for electricity each year, and lighting makes up a huge component of this cost, so every bit we can save helps,” says Kate Zurawski, property manager. Finsilver/Friedman Management is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, and is analyzing how to incorporate additional “green” practices into their property management services.
